Just an FYI: The web link to this page is incorrect on Apple Podcasts. It points to:
“http//www.techfanpodcast.com” which is missing the colon after the p, and an ‘s
at the end of http, so it does not open any page and throws an error.
Thought I’d chime in on the printer/generic ink conversation. For the most part I’d agree that generic ink is fine, however it’s not exactly the same as name brand ink.
I used to to teach a digital photos class and we used Canon wide format printers. To save money I bought generic ink one time. Not only did the ink not last as long, but the quality was inferior to true canon ink. I saw it and the students saw it.
So for everyday printing generic ink works fine. However there are situations that I think the name brand ink is worth the money.
I’ve also recently switched from being a long time Canon printer user to Epson ecotank printers. I have one at home and one at school and the quality is fantastic. I bought a similar Canon printer and the color quality is awful.
